Wright & Brown Rye Whiskey

The first release from the Wright & Brown Distilling Company of Oakland, CA, a grain to glass distillery who mills, mashes, ferments, distills, ages, and bottles on site.  Their rye whiskey is copper pot distilled from the finest quality hand-selected malted rye and barley, aged in new American White Oak casks with a medium char, and bottled non-chill filtered with no coloring added at 45% ABV.  No outside enzymes are added to complete fermentation, instead an extra large proportion of barley naturally completes the process following traditional methods, (all that barley also lends a phenomenally chewy body to the whiskey.)

Wright & Brown Distilling was formed in Oakland by a former brewer and moon-shining tugboat operator.
