Suntory Hibiki Harmony Whisky
Double Gold Medal at San Francisco World Spirits Competition 2016
Founded in 1899, the Suntory brand started as a small wine store in Osaka, but grew rapidly over the years, encompassing a wide range of products. Their construction of the Yamazaki Distillery in 1923 and the release of Suntory Shirofuda Whisky in 1929 brought Japanese Whisky into the public eye. Suntory's outstanding craftsmanship and expertise is apparent in every bottle, and their Hibiki Whisky is no different. Bronze amber in color, Suntory "Hibiki Harmony" Blended Japanese Whisky is a harmonious blend of innumerous malt and grain whiskies from Suntory's distilleries offering a full orchestra of flavors and aromas. The nose opens with a luminous and delicate notes of rose, lychee, sandalwood and a hint of rosemary. The rich and complex palate offers notes of honeylike sweetness, candied orange peel, white chocolate, spice and matured wood. Subtle, tender notes of Mizunara and incense lingers through the long, structured finish.
91 Points Wine Enthusiast - The newest blended whisky offering from Hibiki is burnished gold in the glass and has a bold aroma that mixes vanilla, fresh pear and a hint of smoke. The smokiness comes forward at the first sip, wrapping around a core of oak and vanilla custard and finishing long, with a mouthwatering bitter chocolate note.
