Frank August Case Study: 05 Wheated Bourbon 750ml
Tasting Notes
Appearance: Warm chestnut with golden edges. In the glass, it forms slow, graceful legs that suggest a smooth, full-bodied texture.
Nose: Soft and inviting, with aromas of vanilla bean, baked apple and toasted marshmallow. Beneath that, layers of honeyed graham cracker, subtle oak, and a touch of baking spice unfold with time.
Palate: Rich and rounded from the start. Flavors of caramel, toffee, and sweet cornbread are balanced by soft baking spice and a hint of dark cherry. The wheat lends a creamy mouthfeel, smoothing out the edges and allowing the sweetness to shine.
Finish: Long, mellow, and warming. Notes of vanilla custard and light oak linger, with just enough spice to keep it structured and balanced. The proof carries through with a gentle persistence, never overpowering.
ABV: 52.25%
