The 2021 Northstar Merlot from Columbia Valley is a refined, medium-bodied red wine crafted with care and complexity. Blended from 82% Merlot and 18% Cabernet Sauvignon, it was aged for 20 months in 100% French oak barrels (36% new), imparting depth and elegance. This vintage is well suited for pairing with dishes like dry-rubbed pork ribs, herb-roasted chicken, or shiitake mushroom risotto. 

The tasting profile unfolds beautifully: on the nose, you’ll find notes of black cherry, raspberry, mint, and cream. On the palate, it delivers dark chocolate, graham cracker, cedar, and hints of shortbread, all framed by supple tannins and a bright, elegant finish.
