This unique bourbon is a part of Rabbit Hole’s set of limited edition small batch, experimental finishes. To make this special expression, Straight Bourbon Whiskey with a wheat mash bill, is matured in #3, wood-fired, alligator char. They transfer it to 500 liter casks that have been used to perfect sweet, dark Pedro Ximénez sherry. The resulting whiskey is refined, balanced with a long cascading finish. This special PX cask finish earned Platinum at the 2017 SIP Awards, and a Gold medal at the 2017 Los Angeles Spirits Competition.
Rabbit Hole Cavehill Straight Bourbon Whiskey
With a mash bill of 70% corn, 10% malted wheat, 10% honey malted barley, and 10% malted barley, Rabbit Hole's bourbon is bottled at 47.5% ABV. A four-grain mash promises spice and honey and a fresh apple breeze. This is a whiskey of remarkable maturity with spice on the front, vanilla, and custard in the finish. Rabbit Hole Kentucky Straight Bourbon earned a Gold medal and “Best Straight Bourbon” at the 2017 New York Wine & Spirits Competition.
Rabbit Hole Heigold Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey
Rabbit Hole’s Heigold, a Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey made with a high percentage of imported German malted rye. Distilled from 70% corn, 25% malted rye, and 5% malted barley, aged for just under four years in toasted and charred new oak barrels. Strong and bold, this super-premium bourbon offers initial butterscotch and toasted malt tones before leading into a burst of refreshing citrus notes and finishing with comforting pepper spice.
