Old Potrero Toasted Oak Whiskey in the Park
Old Potrero Toasted Barrel is a 100% malted rye whiskey distilled in a small copper pot still at Hotaling & Co.'s San Francisco distillery. Originally released as Old Potrero 18th Century Style Whiskey, it is matured a minimum of six years in new, handmade American white oak barrels that are toasted over a fire of oak chips in the traditional 18th-century cooper's method rather than charred. The result carries dark fruit and malt on the nose with a lively rye spice and hint of vanilla, opening to a rich, balanced palate of clean oak, pronounced rye spice, and pleasant grain character, bottled at 51.2% ABV.
