Old Potrero Malted Rye Whiskey in the Park
Old Potrero is credited as the first American craft whiskey to reach the market after Prohibition, distilled in a small copper pot still at the Hotaling & Co. distillery on San Francisco's Potrero Hill from a mash of 100% malted rye. This flagship Straight Rye is aged six years in new, handmade, charred American oak barrels, giving it a rounder, richer, and more chocolatey profile than typical unmalted rye. Expect notes of cinnamon, orange, cherry, chewy maltiness, and red-hot candies with a pronounced nutty finish, bottled at 48.5% ABV.
