Gold Bar's Rickhouse is a cask-strength straight bourbon, triple copper-pot distilled from an 80% corn, 20% rye mash, matured in extra-charred new American oak and then raked over French oak staves for added depth and smoke. Bottled at 103 proof and non-chill filtered, it pours a rich mahogany and shows smoky aromas of campfire, grilled char, caramel, brown sugar, and coffee. The palate is bold and toasty with complex oak, chocolate, and burnt sugar, closing on a warming, nutty, sweet-vanilla finish.
