Fukano Select Whiskey in the Park

Fukano Select is a Japanese rice whisky from the Fukano Distillery in Hitoyoshi, Kumamoto, a family operation founded in 1823 and now run by the sixth and seventh generations. Distilled from a blend of malted and un-malted rice in pot stills, this expression is developed using a combination of red wine casks, Manzanilla sherry casks, and new and refilled oak casks for a rich, layered profile. Bottled at 43% ABV; the limited release earned a Platinum (97 pts, Best in Category – World Whisky) at the 2023 Las Vegas Global Spirit Awards.
